Foster Care Ministry

We seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a time of need.

Resources to Assist you and Your Family

Foster Care Resource Closet
At The Heights, we recognize that fostering provides many challenges with limited resources. The Heights saw this need and wanted to make a difference. As a foster family, you provide critical care and support in a very difficult situation, and we want to help. Inside our Foster Care Resource Closet, we have many items to help you prepare and stay prepared for the children entering your home. Our Foster Resource Closet has items such as bedding, clothing, toys, books, school supplies, hygiene items, car seats, and more. We also have diapers reserved just for you, in partnership with Diaper Bank of the Ozarks. We feel God's call to love you as you love the children in Polk County, and surrounding communities, who are adjusting to a new way of life. For emergent needs, please contact Gen Richardson at 417-399-3703 or gen@theheightschurch.net to schedule an appointment to shop. Appointments are generally 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, with additional options available in emergencies. Families are also given the opportunity to shop at each TIPS Night.

Benevolence Gifting

We at The Heights know that we do not have the answers to all of life’s needs. We have created a benevolence fund for needs that arise as children enter/exit your home. These funds may be used directly for items related to foster children in your care, such as a dresser, mattresses, car seats, beds, and more. If our Foster Care Resource Closet does not have what you need, let’s see if we can help! Please apply for funding with the form below
Your request will be reviewed by staff and a response shall be given within 5 business days.
Please contact Gen Richardson at 417-399-3703 or gen@theheightschurch.net for emergencies.
