Current Message Series

Hey, it’s Pastor Mark! I'm so excited to tell you about this 4-week series, Start Here.

We know  students have a lot going on. Between friendships, homework, extracurricular activities, after-school jobs, and keeping up with their favorite influencers and trends, there's always something competing for their attention. So how do we help them prioritize what truly matters most, especially when it comes to their faith? In this series, we're going back to the basics of what Jesus taught as the highest priorities: loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.

In Week 1, we're focusing on the foundation of everything: loving God. Jesus called it the greatest commandment—loving God with our hearts, souls, and minds. We'll help students see that God isn't interested in their ability to follow rules perfectly but instead desires a genuine relationship with them. We'll reinforce the incredible truth that God’s love for them is unconditional and constant. This foundational understanding can transform how they view their faith and their everyday lives.

Week 2 tackles an important question for high schoolers: Where do I find my worth? It's tempting for students to measure their value by popularity, achievements, or skill. Through the parable of the shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep to find the one, students will further understand their intrinsic value in God's eyes. They'll learn their worth isn't defined by what others think or say, but by God's unwavering love and intentionality in creating them uniquely.

Week 3 addresses how we extend this understanding of love to others. We'll explore how Jesus intentionally engaged with people who were different or marginalized by His interaction with the Samaritan woman at the well. Students will be challenged to step out of their comfort zones to authentically care for and connect with others, reflecting the heart of Jesus in their relationships.

Finally, Week 4 is our interactive "Practice" week, designed to help students actively live out what they've learned. This week will provide practical, hands-on opportunities for students to apply their understanding of loving God, embracing their true value, and intentionally loving others.

As you lead your students through Start Here, encourage them to embrace these foundational truths: God loves them unconditionally, they have inherent value beyond what they do, and they’re created to extend genuine love to others. We’re thrilled to partner with you in guiding your students toward what truly matters most in their faith journeys. Thank you for all you do to invest in students!
