Big Idea: Giving reveals the heart of the giver.
Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 9:24–27; Mark 12:41–44; Deuteronomy 14:22; 2 Corinthians 9:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2a; Matthew 6:4
Habit: Tithing / Giving
Giving is more than money — it’s about the heart we offer to God.
Deuteronomy 14:22: A tithe is 10% (one-tenth) of what we earn.
Mark 12:41–44: Jesus sees the heart, not the amount.
What Giving Looks Like
1. Decide in your heart
God wants our gifts to come from joy, not pressure. (2 Cor. 9:7)
2. Give what you value
Money, time, or talent can all be gifts to God.
3. Give regularly
Habits are built when we set aside our gifts. (1 Cor. 16:2a)
4. Give privately
Giving isn’t for attention — it’s to honor God. (Matt. 6:4)
